A packed weekend of Welfare action

St Drostans entertained St Combs and the home side were no match for the in-form St Combs who went on to score nine without reply.

The goals came from Allan Taylor netting four and one each from John Smith, Neil Taylor, Nial Buchan, James Cardno and Steven Bruce with his first goal of the season.

Rosehearty Thistle had home advantage over New Pitsligo and it ened with the away side winning by 5-1.

Michael Stephen and Gilbby Stephen both netted a brace each and the other came from Daruis Duncan and replying for the home side was steven Sharp.

In the SoccerWorld Cup New Deer played hosts to high flying Faithlie United for a place in the semi-final.

The match ended with the away side progressing to the semis after winning by 4-2.

The winning goals were scored by Fraser Anderson with a double and one apiece from Andy McKay and David Taylor and replying for New Deer were Willie Robbie and David Strachan.

Clinton Thistle received a 3-0 win as Mormond Thistle failed to field a team which means Clinton Thistle are now crowned Deejays Nightclub League winners for season 2012-2013.

They have been the stand-out team for this season and are still involved in two more local cups and the Scottish Cup.
