Female football players sought

Buchan Ladies and Girls Football Organisation are looking to begin a new senior team to play in the North 2nd Division Scottish Women’s Football League.

Having recently achieved the SFA Quality Mark, the club is looking to expand a new team, following the sccuess of the existing senior team, who became league champions in 2011 and have been promoted to the SWFL 1st Division.

Trial matches for the new Ladies Team will be held on Sunday December 11 in the Mintlaw area. The club is also looking to recruit junior players, particularly at under 13 and under 17 level. Within the Youth Leagues, Buchan Girls currently operates 2 x under 13s teams, 1 x under 15s and 2 x under 17s teams.

The club is constantly looking for new talent to supplement the growing number of girls and ladies wishing to play football. Buchan Girls prides itself in being an ‘inclusion for all’ club and has players of all abilities.

Training during the winter is at Mintlaw Academy astroturf, Monday 7pm to 9pm for under 15s and under 13s, and Tuesday 7pm to 9pm for under 17s and Ladies.
