Staff and residents at Peterhead’s Wyndwell Care Home marked the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings on Friday, June 6.
Members of staff dressed in vintage outfits and held a best dressed competition.
Local woman Jackie Chalmers treated residents by bringing along some war artefacts for them to have a look at.
Jackie said: “Everyone enjoyed themselves, I think it helped to bring back a lot of memories for them.”
The care home held the special day to remember soldiers from around the world that took part in the D-Day landings on the beaches of Normandy 70 years ago.
