Ellon couple John and Caroline Docherty have raised £633 for Peterhead Relay for Life’s HK2 team from the sale of hand-made Christmas wreaths.

The couple, who lost their son to cancer ten years ago aged just 39, sold the wreaths at the recent farmer’s market, selling out in two hours.

This is the second year they have donated money to Cancer Research, having handed over £1,400 in 2015.

Kathleen Chalmers of the HK2 team told The Buchanie: "We would like to thank John and Caroline for their very generous donation and appreciate all the hard work that has gone in to making the wreaths."
