A woman has died following a two-vehicle collision on the A90.

A woman has died following a road collision on the A90 near Ellon.

Police Scotland confirmed that a two-vehicle collision occurred at 1.50pm today (Saturday, March 5), and that a 57-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Five other people are currently being treated for injuries at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The collision involved a Vauxhall Meriva and a black Renault Megane.

Sergeant Neil Morrison, of Road Policing, said: “Enquiries into the cause of this collision are at an early stage however we would ask anyone who was in the area at the time or who saw either of these vehicles in the area prior to collision to come forward.”
