Toon do well in ‘friendly’

Peterhead Camera Club welcomed members of Deveron Camera Club to their recent meeting for the results of a ‘friendly’ competition.

Each club had submitted 20 images which were randomly mixed before being forwarded to judge, Ian McCurrach, for his scrutiny.

In the end it was a good night for the Blue Toon who not only won the overall ‘friendly’ by 296 points to 273 but were also awarded the top three images -.

These were ‘Chairoplane’ by Michael McDonald; ‘Buchan Off Road’ by Andrew Simpson and ‘The Wheel at Night’ by Malcolm Smith.

Highly Commended images were ‘Toby’ by Val Wright; ‘Penguin’ by Erin Simpson (ten years-old) and ‘Nailed It’ by Norma Taylor - all members of Peterhead Camera Club.

Four images were also awarded ‘Commended’ by the judge - two from Peterhead and two from the Deveron club.
