Technical Lifting Solutions (TLS) of Peterhead recently planned and executed a heavy lifting operation at East port Great Yarmouth.

The contract was to destruct and lift off the Blade rack which was attached to the bow of the jack-up rig, with a total load weight of 140 tonnes.

TLS was contracted in to carry out the complex lifting operation by Scottish Rig Repairers SRR of Aberdeen. The main client for the entire destruct operation was Seajacks UK based in Great Yarmouth.

The vessel worked on was the Seajacks Leviathan, with Weldex UK supplying the two 300-tonne capacity cranes for the lifting operation and Certex Aberdeen chosen to supply the bespoke lifting equipment.
