With less than eight weeks to go until Christmas day, be sure to pick up your copy of the MacMillan boys’ calendar this year for that special someone!
The project has already raised a fantastic £4826, after hosting a popular ‘Ladies Night’ earlier this year. For those of you who missed it, you can get a sneak peak of the show on YouTube, which already has over 1,000 views.
The men of Dales Engineering began the fundraising project back in May and with the help of their many sponsors and support from friends and family the calendars were successfully completed.
Organiser Bruce Buchan told the Buchanie: “There are so many people we could thank including Dales Engineering who allowed us to use the workshop, Photofanatical.com who helped with the artwork of the calendar and all of our sponsors, including both individuals and companies who donated towards the production costs.”
The calendars are available from ebay, listed as Macmillan Calendar, and uncut versions of the Ladies Night DVD will soon be listed.
Calendars can be bought locally from the ‘Symposium’ Coffee House, Queen Street, W. H. Smith, Drummers Corner, Ingrams Bakery, Longate, and Clerkhill Paper Shop, who have all accepted a number of calendars on a ‘Sale or Return’ basis.
Fraserburgh folk can get a copy from the Golf Club, or Tesco, with Banff served by the Banff Springs Hotel.
Bruce added: “We have plenty of calendars still to sell, and we would be very grateful for any assistance that readers may be able to provide. Please spread the word, tell everyone you know whether its by phone, email or through your social-networking sites.”
