SSPCA invite to schools

The Scottish SPCA is inviting Buchan primary schools to take part in its Prevention through Education programme this year.

Aimed at primary four to seven pupils, the programme is offered free of charge and encourages children to treat animals with compassion and respect.

Scotland’s animal welfare charity spoke to 12,996 children in Aberdeenshire and the North East last year and over 81,000 children across Scotland.

Education Manager Gilly Mendes Ferreira said, “Our programme is tailored to the Curriculum for Excellence and we’ve had fantastic feedback from our school visits.”
