Peterhead woman Shauni Bremner has been chosen as this year’s Buchan Queen.

At a special event at the town’s Waterside Inn on Saturday Shauni impressed the judging panel of Original 106 presenters Rick Cowie, Michael Gordon, Glen Moir and Martin Ingram, to take the this year’s crown.

Accompanying Shauni during Scottish Week in July will be her two princesses.

Kimberley Kaminski (21), currently works at Morrisons and is also known for playing bass guitar in her band Raw Stereo. Suzanne Walker (18), is a waitress at the town’s Waterside Inn. She likes to visit the gym and also enjoys shopping for mainly shoes and bags. Suzanne also enjoys babysitting her niece and nephew.

The trio will be officially crowned at the opening ceremony of this year’s Scottish Week on Saturday, July 18, at Drummers Corner.

They will then spend the week visiting the various attractions and popping into the local care homes where they will spend some time speaking to the residents.
