EXCITED: The lucky pupils at Anna Ritchie Schhol receiving their tickets for the Blue Toon Rox

Anna Ritchie School pupils were lucky enough to receive free tickets for Blue Toon Rox.

Headteacher Ishbel Cruickshank said: “We put in the school newsletter that anyone who wanted free tickets for the Blue Toon Rox could let us know and would receive free tickets. The pupils were allowed up to four tickets each.”

“We had a great response from the parents and children, with some parents phoning to check that they had read the newsletter correctly!

“We are so thankful to the football club for thinking of our school. It’s great for the pupils to go to something like this and for us to get so many tickets is brilliant.”

Chairman of Peterhead Football Club Rodger Morrison said: “We were delighted that the pupils of the school took up our offer of tickets to the Blue Toon Rox concert as Peterhead Football Club has always been a supporter of local institutions, local charities and junior football. The club felt it was a nice touch to recognise Anna Ritchie School as they have rarely been a beneficiary of fundraising at the club and we hope all the pupils and their families had a great night at the concert.”
