Rotary thanks community for Shoebox help

The Rotary Club of Peterhead extends a massive thank you to the pupils and staff at the town’s Central School for filling more than 50 shoe boxes for the club’s recent appeal for Eastern Europe.

Thanks were also expressed to Morrisons of Peterhead, especially Sheena Irvine community champion and their generous customers, for donating a huge amount of toiletries, toys and gifts to fill a further 150 boxes.

The remaining boxes were filled by friends and family of Rotarians and they were also thanked for their generosity.

Lovely warm baby blankets were also donated by Molly Burnett who knitted enough squares for 22 blankets and Maureen McDonald and Rotary president Liz Oates helped to sew them all together!

A final thanks were also given to to John Johnston of Northern Platforms and Stagings for providing the transport to Dyce.
