Peterhead Rotary Club held its annual tea party recently.

The event was held at the town’s Salvation Army hall on Windmill Street.

Residents from homes throughout the Peterhead area were transported to the hall by Rotarians and the donation of a taxi from Paul Anderson of Central Taxis and Graham of Astra Cabs, who did a double run to Wyndwell at his own expense.

Rotarians have expressed thanks to both Paul and Graham for their help and to Major Irene Williams of the Salvation Army and Christine and team in the kitchen who provided a delicious afternoon tea and everyone there who assisted.

Special thanks were extended to entertainers, Doreen Duncan of Longside, who got the grey cells working with her musical quiz and own brand of humour and Erin Pyper and Georgia Jack from the Rhona Lawrence Dance Academy.

Guests and their carers came from Allandale House; Arkdale; Grange Park; Inverugie Court; Kirkburn Court Nursing Home; Peterhead OAP Club; Renouard Court, St. Fergus; Strathbeg Sheltered Housing, Crimond; Strawberrybank Sheltered Housing; Sunnybank Care Home, Cruden Bay and Wyndwell Care Home.
