This week the port saw 35,208 boxes sold, which easily surpasses the previous record of just over 32,000 boxes.

Commenting on the record figures, port chief executive, Ian Laidlaw, said: "Again I am absolutely delighted with the continued hard work carried out by the fishing fleet and our market staff."
