The Faith Mission has arranged to have a time of prayer for Scotland. Prayer meetings for this purpose are open to anyone to attend when they can and for as long as they can.
On Saturday, January 8, friends are invited to such a meeting in the Faith Mission Bookshop, Erroll Street, Peterhead, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, and from 2pm to 4pm. This will be held in the back premises to allow the shop to remain open for business.
A second prayer meeting is to be held in the Dalrymple Hall in Fraserburgh later in the month on Saturday, January 22, from 1pm to 4pm.
Faith Mission New Year Rallies are to be held in Peterhead Baptist Church Hall on Friday, January 14, and in Bethesda Church, Fraserburgh on Saturday, January 15, both commencing at 7.30pm.
The speaker is Mr. John Matthews and there will be Bible ministry and a sharing of Mission news and Christian fellowship. All are welcome.
Peterhead Old Parish Church Senior Ladies’ Fellowship will meet on Monday, January 10, at 2pm in the upstairs hall.
The Rev. George Noble is the invited speaker to start this part of the ladies’ session.
After the festive break the Peterhead Fisherman’s Mission Sunday evening Night Cap will be a regular feature at 8pm beginning with the meeting on January 9.
Peterhead St. Andrews Parish Church Guild’s next meeting is on Wednesday, January 12, at 7.30pm when Elizabeth and John Noble will talk on their trip to India on behalf of ‘Open Doors’.
Resuming also with their weekly meetings on Wednesday, January 12, at 7.15pm, will be the Peterhead Methodist Church Sisterhood at which Fred Duthie is to be the speaker. All ladies are very welcome.
Peterhead Trinity Parish Church Work Party is having a Buttery Morning on Saturday, January 15, from 10am until 12 noon. Admission £1.50. There will also be the usual stalls. This is being held in aid of Ekwendeni Hospital and all are welcome.
The induction of the Rev. Abi T. Ngunga as minister of Peterhead St. Andrew’s Church is to take place on Friday, January 14. The induction service will begin at 7pm followed by refreshments and a short social evening.
All will be made welcome at the induction and the ceremony following. The Kirk Session and memb
ers would be delighted to have a good turn out to welcome Abi and his family to Peterhead.
