The local Marie Curie Buchan Fundraising Group recently held a Youth Concert in the Palace Hotel. It was a complete sell-out and local school choirs from Burnhaven, Peterhead Academy, Central School, St Fergus and Clerkhill all took part in what was a fantastic display of talent by local youngsters.
The audience were also treated to a ceilidh band and highland dancers.
An amazing £1,500 was raised which will fund further nursing care to terminally ill patients in the local community.
The event was such a success that there is talk of it becoming an annual event.
North East Scotland community fundraiser Carolyn Snedden said: “It was a great evening of entertainment and all the children are a credit to their schools.
“The success of this event will help us find the much needed funds to support the nursing service locally.”
