THE Wings Appeal golf tournament at the Macdonald Spey Valley Championship Golf Course, organised by the Peterhead branch, was held on June 2.

A total of £1,226 was raised and will be donated to the Storybook Wings and Miles for Minutes Appeal.

The organisers have expressed thanks to all who contributed to the success of the event. The weather blessed the day with glorious sunshine and warmth that contributed to a very enjoyable days golf.

Gpt Capt C. J. Birks, area president and Gair Brisbane, area director for Scotland and Northern Ireland, were in attendance along with Murray Urquhart Spey Valley Golf Professional to present the trophies to the winners.

RAF Kinloss ran out worthy winners, with Peterhead runners–up followed by Aker Solutions Subsea in third place. Due to the success of the day a similar event will be held next year.
