CRUDEN BAY will be hosting its Gala Day on Saturday, August 13, from 10am to 4pm and organisers are looking for willing volunteers to help make this year’s gala the biggest and best yet.
The gala - held at Cruden Bay Harbour - will be opened by Councillor Sam Coull and includes a variety of stalls, car boot, lucky dip, tombola raffled and many more activities.
Organisers are not only looking for volunteers to help on the day, but also volunteers with fresh ideas and lots of energy to help in the planning and running of the event.
A family ceilidh will take place in the evening at 7.30pm, bringing an end to what promises to be a fantastic day for locals and visitors alike.
Tickets for the ceilidh are on sale now in the village Post Office, The Harbour Café and Aulton Garage priced at £5 and includes a plate of stovies.
This year Cruden Bay Gala is also looking for entrants for the Gala Queen and two Princesses, who will take part in the gala’s grand opening procession and perform other “royal” duties during the gala day and throughout the year.
So if you have a friend or family member under 16 who would like the chance to receive a royal title, fill in the entry form and return it to Cruden Bay Post Office, The Harbour Cafe, Cruden Bay or send the details to Fimchattie58@aol.com.
Remember to attach a photography with your entry!
