Mother’s Day is the perfect time to show your mum just how much you care, but for 13 Asda colleagues in Peterhead, every day is Mother’s Day, as they spend quality time together in-store.

Asda Peterhead has a large number of family connections across the store, with six sets of mothers and children.

Janice Cordiner from the Administration team works together with her daughter Shari.

Janice said: “I have a great relationship with my daughter. I’ve worked in the store for a number of years and was thrilled when Shari joined the team just a few weeks ago. We always keep work at the store but its great working together and getting to see each other when we normally wouldn’t have the opportunity.”

Aileen Wilson has worked in various roles with her mother, Jean, within the Asda team.

“Working as a colleague in Asda, you feel like you’re part of one big family – and the Peterhead store is such a friendly place,” added Aileen.

“We have so many lovely memories of working together, including doing lots of fundraising.”

Other mums and their children who work together in store include Jake Cordiner and his mother Shirley, Lisa Bruce and her mother Margaret Chalmers, Natasha Gillies and her mother Suzie Dussus, and Linda Donald and her daughters Natalie and Ashley.

Grant McHardy, store manager at Asda Peterhead, said: “It’s lovely to see such great family relationships blossom into friendships here at Asda.

"Our special sets of colleagues are a real inspiration to others throughout the store on how to work hard and come together as a team.”
