Staff at a Buchan pub have taken the bold decision to bare almost all in the name of charity.

The team from the Mormond Inn public house in Strichen have been working hard to produce a charity-themed calendar in aid of Lupus UK.

The idea for the daring project came from Tracey MacLeod, who has taken in upon herself to come up with various ways to raise £10,000 over the next 12 months for the charity, with the first venture being the calendar.

Tracey chose the Lupus UK charity due to the lack of awareness and information of the disease, which her close friend suffers from.

The calendar has, understandably, become a hot topic of conversation in and around the village as it is shrouded in secrecy and will only be available to view once published.

When asked about the shoot, photographere David Buntrock said: “When I was approached by Tracey to do the shoot I was more than happy to give up my time for such a great cause.

“After the shoot, I did think to myself that the old saying of don’t work with animals and children should have barmaids added to it, but all joking aside the girls were fantastic, very professional indeed and I was very proud to be a part of it.”

The calendar would not have been possible if it was not for the help of hair stylist Carlene Riddoch as well as Stacey Bruce, Steffie Cowe and Jade Gourley who provided the makeovers for the girls.

Copies of the calendar will be available from the Mormond Inn public house in Strichen and for those wishing to donate to the cause, they can log on to the JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Tracey-Macleod2

The calendar is the start of many organised events during the next year including a ‘Hair O’ The Dog’ sponsored walk.
