A fayre to raise funds for the Mintlaw Pavilion carpark was held in the village’s public hall recently.
The event ran from 10am to 3pm on Saturday September 1 and raised £512 for repairs to the carpark near to the Mintlaw playing fields and new swing park.
The fayre included refreshments, home bakes, stalls and a guess the bear’s birthday competition.
The tea ladies were kept busy serving refreshments, hot butteries and home bakes.
There was also a great line up of raffle prizes, some of which had been donated from the stallholders.
Commenting, organiser Fiona Alexander said: “The fayre went extremely well and a fantastic sum of £512 was raised for the Mintlaw Pavilion carpark repairs. The sun was shining brightly all day which helped to bring the customers in.
“Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Many thanks to everyone for making the event such a success.”
The next Mintlaw Home and Gift Fayre will be held on Saturday November 3 from 10am to 3pm at the Mintlaw Public Hall. The November fayre is for Mintlaw Mo’s & Sista’s to raise funds for prostate cancer. There will be soup and refreshments as well as a star raffle prize. The stalls are still to be finalised but will include a wide range of personal gifts and items for the home.
