Man rescued by Peterhead lifeboat

The Peterhead lifeboat was called out by Aberdeen Coastguard last night (Monday) to rescue a man from the harbour.

Lifeboat crew were called out at 9.10pm to assist with the recovery of the man who was in the sea in the harbour of refuge.

Two crewmen used the daughter Y boat to intercept the casualty and escorted him to the shore to be met by the police and coastguard.

The lifeboat was stood down and returned to its berth at 9.38pm.
