A man has died following an emergency service rescue operation onboard a boat in Peterhead.
Ambulance, paramedic, fire and police crews all attended the scene at Seagate yesterday afternoon (Monday, March 7).
Inspector Simon Reid said: “We were informed of the sudden death of a man within a vessel at Peterhead harbour at around 1:40pm this afternoon.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained although there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. I would also like to thank the other emergency services involved in the response to the incident.
“As with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
The death is believed to be a medical matter.
