THE MacMillan Calendar Boys 2012 project is progressing well, but sponsors are still being sought.
With the endorsement of MacMillan, a ‘not for profit’ group has produced the charity calendar, in a bid to raise funds for the charity.
The project has generated significant local interest through word of mouth and it is hoped that the calendars will sell for £5 each when they are eventually printed.
Meanwhile, a special ladies night is also being planned for August 26 this year at which the calendar models will be performing a ‘full monty’.
A total of 200 tickets are available for the evening, at £10 each, and these will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Bruce Buchan, who is involved in the project, told the Buchanie: “The MacMillan Calendar Boys have benefited from the support of Dales Engineering Ltd and Photofanatical.com which have both made practical contributions towards the project. As a result of this support we have incurred zero project costs to date.”
Mr Buchan said companies willing to support the project through sponsorship can email their sponsor logo to: firstname.lastname@example.org of Photofanatical.com, which operates the calendar web page.
Sponsorship payment may be made by cheque, payable to Langstane Press, Estimate No. 26759.
“It may be that some companies will not feel able to sponsor a calendar month, but would like to make a donation towards project costs. Alternatively, they might be willing to order a number of calendars for internal use at a cost of £5 per hard copy, or £6 per download option,” said Mr Buchan.
“We are confident that the initial print run of 5,000 can be sold locally in Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Mintlaw and Ellon and hope that as many folk as possible will support this fantastic cause,” he added.
