Longside Parish Church Hall celebrated its official re-opening on Tuesday last week.
A three-day public exhibition followed featuring photos and memorabilia of the hall and events held during its 100-year history.
A special Thanksgiving Service in the church was led by Rev Bob Fowlie on Sunday, October 21.
Speaking to the Buchanie about the service, Rev Fowlie said: “It was super, I was bouncing around all over the place and I have been on a high ever since.”
On the exhibition, he said: “It went very well, there were a lot of people who attended and enjoyed it.
“Many great conversations were had. People were trying to identify those in the pictures, trying to work out where they came from and who they actually were.”
Rev Fowlie added: “I would like to acknowledge the great work done by A.D Walker who took great care and did a wonderful job.”
Central Buchan councillor Norman Smith attended the opening and said: “This is very welcoming for the village, the hall is well used but needed some TLC and work to bring it into the modern day.”
