A local man recently completed a charity bike challenge in Inverness.

Kevin Reid from Longside recently completed the inaugural Etape Loch Ness cycle sportive which consists of a 67 mile route around Loch Ness on Sunday, May 4 to fundraise for MacMillan Cancer Support.

Speaking afterwards, Kevin said: “I was a bit apprehensive before as it was the first time I’d done this type of thing but I was really chuffed to finish 493rd from 1250 entrants.”

He raised a total of £1,210 for the charity and is pictured above with his daughter Lois, presenting a cheque to local MacMillan Cancer Support chairwoman, Maureen Simpson, and local MacMillan Nurse, Carol Thornton.

Kevin and MacMillan Cancer Support would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to all those who generously donated and showed their support.
