A Peterhead man has completed the Lost Soul Ultra Marathon in Lethbridge Alberta, Canada.

Edward Reeves, 44, completed the 100km marathon in the early hours of Saturday, September 7.

He has always been interested in running and alongside his sister, Linda Garland, was a keen member of the local athletic club run by Mr Kitchen in the 80s at Lord Catto park.

Edward served in the army and left Peterhead in 1985, and was posted to Germany where he served 6 years and was in the first Gulf war, he came back to Peterhead for around five years.

He then decided to emigrate to Canada where his first wife originated and started work as a trucker.

Edward even spent a season on the ice roads taking loads up to the mines.
