Buchanhaven School in Peterhead is set to get its toilets upgraded.
Members of the Buchan area committee discussed the proposal at their meeting in Peterhead on Tuesday.

One of the boys’ toilets comprising part of the overall toilet accommodation inthe school was upgraded under a previous contract.
This current project isfor upgrading the remainder of both the boys’ and girls’ toilet accommodationthroughout the school.
In a report to councillors, planning chief Stephen Archer says: “Given that the refurbishment of the toiletaccommodation in a school causes a substantial amount of disruption themajority of the works - and all disruptive works - will be carried out over thesummer holiday period to prevent any further disruption to the school infuture.
“The upgrade works will involve lining all walls with laminate faced board, replacement of cubicles, sanitary ware and floor coverings.”
The contract acceptance will be issued week commencing May 19, with work on site beginnin July 7 and will be complete ten weeks therafter.
An asbestos survey will be carried out to the areas of the building affected by the works and any asbestos containing materials will be removed anddisposed of by a specialist contractor prior to works commencing on site, all incompliance with The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
Mr Archer said the lowest priced tender for the work in the amount of £197,131.82 was submitted by North Offshore Ltd.
Members will be asked to give the go-ahead for the works at Tuesday’s meeting.
