Two Peterhead Academy fourth year pupils were delighted to find out they had attained six A grades each on Tuesday morning.
Twin brothers Craig and Scott Watson (16) of Cruden Bay found out they had passed all of their National 5 exams when the postie delivered their SQA certificates on Tuesday, August 5.
The National 5 qualification is now the equivalent of a Standard Grade credit pass after the recent curriculum change.
Craig and Scott studied the same subjects; Accounts, English, Maths, German, Physics and History, but Craig admits they didn’t always help each other with revision as he explained: “We sometimes studied together but we are both pretty independent”, but mum June added: “I think competitive is more the word!”
If the brothers attain Higher A grades next year, Scott plans on heading to Robert Gordon University to study accounting while Craig is thinking about studying law at Aberdeen University.
Proud mum June and dad James said: “They both worked hard for it.
“They had really good teachers at Peterhead Academy who helped them out.
“We know a lot of people criticize the academy but they have both been really lucky.”
