Sport Relief dance-a-thon for Dales Park

Waiting for Video...

Pupils at Peterhead’s Dales Park School took part in a sponsored dance-a-thon in aid of Sport Relief on Friday, March 21.

With guidance from teacher Miss Smith, the children danced along to a number of songs including the YMCA, Gangnam Style and Best Song Ever by One Direction.

During the day, classes also walked either one mile or half a mile to raise money for the charity.

Throughout the week, the school had an indoor gym bike available for pupils to use at 20p a go for five minutes.

As of Friday afternoon, the school managed to raise a grand total of just over £900, of which £770 came from the sponsored dance-a-thon and £31.40 from the bike.

The total distance covered by pupils on the bike was enough to travel from Peterhead to just past Edinburgh!
