Police are investigating a break-in to an ATM at the RBS Bank branch in Main Street, New Deer.
The incident happened at around 4am on Wednesday, September 18, 2013.
Damage was caused to the front of the building during and it is believed a sum of cash was stolen.
Detective Inspector Norman Stevenson said: “We are following a number of lines of enquiry to establish the full set of circumstances surrounding this incident.
“We would like to appeal to people in the area who may have seen or heard anything around the time of the incident to contact the police as a matter of urgency.
“We are also interested to trace a dark coloured saloon vehicle which may have been seen in the area around the time of the incident.”
