Reminder for residents to take part in council counsultation

Aberdeenshire Council is reminding residents to take part in a consultation on the way it interacts with residents.

The council is seeking feedback from residents, community groups, voluntary organisations and others on its draft community engagement strategy to ensure that it is as effective as possible.

The strategy aims to emphasize Aberdeenshire Council’s ongoing commitment and passion to interact with as wide a cross-section of residents as possible, and will focus on bringing a co-ordinated approach to community engagement.

It will ensure that there are genuine opportunities for communities to interact with the council and get involved in shaping policy and decisions taken by the local authority. The consultation will run until Monday, July 23.

Residents are asked to read the draft strategy, which is available online, and give their feedback on what is currently proposed by visiting www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/consultations/index_db.asp

People can also give their feedback at www.surveymonkey.com/s/cestrategy.
