More than 850 visitors attended North East Scotland College’s Career Showcase held at Fraserburgh Campus earlier this month.

Individuals came from Aberdeen and throughout Aberdeenshire to speak with leading companies from the engineering, manufacturing, nautical and oil and gas sectors.

Some 30 exhibitors were present, many of whom were actively recruiting, including Score Group plc.

Conrad Ritchie, deputy managing director of Score (Europe) Limited commented: “Score Group plc are pleased to support and attend this annual showcase.

“This year’s event was very well organised and attended, it is fantastic to see such an interest from people within the Banff and Buchan area. The opportunities for all in the Engineering sectors, in both traditional and emerging technologies, are vast and we are happy provide such training opportunities in conjunction with the Fraserburgh campus.”

This year saw many businesses participating for the first time including Crewing Services - Northstar, Fugro, GE Oil, Zenith and Zilift.

Rob Wallen, principal of North East Scotland College, said, “This has been a tremendously successful evening. It provides our students, school leavers and the wider community with a unique opportunity to discuss employment and career prospects with a large and varied number of employers under the one roof.”

For those who missed this event open days are being held on Thursday, March 6th and from 4.30 to 7.30pm at Fraserburgh campus, and Saturday, March 15 at Aberdeen at 2pm.
