Peterhead lifeboat launched

A North East lifeboat was called to the incident.

A North East lifeboat was called to the incident.

Peterhead Lifeboat was called to assist canoesist in trouble at Cruden Bay beach on Sunday afternoon.

As a result of an emergency call, Aberdeen Marine & Coastguard Agency requested the launch of the lifeboat at 4.46pm.

However, the canoeists successfully returned to the shore prior to the lifeboat leaving its berth and the lifeboat was stood down.

Peterhead Lifeboat is always interested to hear from anyone wishing to join the fundraising team and the crew.
