Bad news for those planning to attend the Muckle Market - it has been cancelled.
One of the organisers said: “Unfortunately due to the very poor forecast for tomorrow we have had to cancel the Muckle Market on health and safety grounds.
“We will call all stallholders, volunteers and entertainers personally over the next few hours.
“Very sorry we have had to cancel but we cannot take any chances when it comes to the safety of participants, volunteers and visitors.”
Peterhead’s Broad Street was to host its second Muckle Market of the year this Saturday (July 19) with more than 20 stalls selling a range of wares and produce in the heart of the town from 10am until 3pm.
The summer market coincided with the day of Peterhead’s Scottish Week crowning and was shaping up to be as popular as ever with local folk and visitors alike.
