Morrisons gifts plants to Longhaven School

Morrisons community champion, Sheena Irvine, presents the plants to the pupils of Longhaven School.

Community champion, Sheena Irvine of Morrisons in Peterhead recently visited Longhaven Primary School with a donation of plants for their school garden.

The pupils were delighted to rececive the plans after the school’s parent council wrote to the supermarket giant asking for a donation of plants .

Head teacher, Karl Loney, told Sheena that the school had been runners-up in the Buchan in Bloom competition last year.

Sheena said of her visit: “It was great to see the school garden all ready for the plants to be planted.

“The children told me about the recycled bottles and Wellington boots the they would be using.

“It’s great to see the enthusiasm coming from both the children and staff.”

Sheena is pictured handing over the plants to the pupils in preparating for their planting in the school grounds.
