Nine Mintlaw Academy pupils have returned to school in high spirits after attaining top grades in their exams.
The pupils received their exam results a few weeks ago after tensely waiting over the summer holidays.
Headteacher, Alan Hornberry, said: “Very well done to our students who have achieved excellent exam results this year and in particular, to the five pupils who attained five A passes at Higher and also very well done to the four pupils who attained all Standard Grade Credit, Grade 1, passes or Intermediate 2 A passes in S4.
The Higher A grade students are Grant Cameron, Anna Ferguson, Rachel Fraser, Sophie Hannah and Michaela Harley and the successful Standard Grade pupils are Frances Bugden, Catherine Donald, Lauren Harper and Rebecca Phelan.
Over the holidays, the Academy received a little makeover as Mr Hornberry explained: “Thanks to Aberdeenshire Education Authority we have been able to totally refurbish and upgrade two rooms on the top floor of the academy into a ‘state-of-the-art’ ICT suite, with new worktops, seats and 40 new desktops to allow pupils to access technology and further improve and explore new ways of learning from across the curriculum.
