Man seriously injured following bypass crash
A MAN suffered serious head injuries and another three people were injured following an accident on the Peterhead to Fraserburgh Road last week.
The incident happened at around 9pm on Monday when Grampian Police, along with the Fire and Ambulance Service, attended a two-vehicle collision near to the Waterside Inn.
The collision involved a dark grey Vauxhall Vectra and a black Ford Fiesta which collided head on.
The 58 year-old male driver of the Vauxhall Vectra suffered a serious head injury and was conveyed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where his injuries were described as life threatening.
The 24 year-old male driver of the Fiesta suffered a broken wrist. A further two passengers in the Fiesta suffered minor injuries and were conveyed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The carriageway was closed for seven hours to enable a detailed examination of the crash scene. Grampian Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
