Lifeboat called out

PETERHEAD Lifeboat was called out at 3pm on Sunday to go to the aid of a personal watercraft which had broken down East of Peterhead South Breakwater.

After a short search, the lifeboat found the craft, being towed by a small fishing boat.

The casualty had swum ashore and was uninjured.

The lifeboat was then stood down and arrived back at its Peterhead Harbour berth at 4.m.
