Fun-filled summer club at St Andrew’s

A PETERHEAD church is opening its doors to local children this summer holidays.

St Andrew’s Church on Queen Street is planning a fun filled week long summer club for primary school children from July 4.

The Pyramid Rock club invites children to play and take part in games and activities as they learn the biblical story of Joseph.

Children aged 4 to twelve will enjoy crafts, exciting games, songs and DVDs during the week and a big celebration picnic at Aden Country Park on Saturday.

The congregation have been working hard planning things for the club and look forward to welcoming local children.

Reverend Dr Abi Ngunga, who joined the church in January, said that he looked forward to welcoming children from every primary school in Peterhead and promised a fun and exciting week for everyone.

He said: “We are hoping to encourage children to build friendships with one another, learn about God’s purpose for them and a sense of community.

We want them to know that the church is a fun and exciting place to be. It will also be a nice break for parents”.

Pyramid Rock runs from July 4-8 from 10am - 12.30pm and is free of charge.

Those who are interested in joining in the adventure should contact

Reverend Abi or Kath Cameron on 01779 476553 or head down to St Andrew’s Church, Queen Street, Peterhead on Monday July 4.
