Pupils from a Buchan school are to hold a talent show on Wednesday October 10.

Primary 5, 6 and 7 pupils from Crimond School have been busy preparing for ‘Crimond’s Got Talent’ for the last five weeks.

The P5 and P6/7 classes have organised the entire event, from raffles and tickets to sound, lighting and costumes. The event will be presented by Antonia and Dectonia, with judges Lewis Welsh, Lara Walliams, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Barlow casting an eye on Crimond’s most talented performers.

There will be two showings of Crimond’s Got Talent on October 10, an afternoon performance at 1.30pm and an evening showing at 6.30pm.

Commenting, P6/7 class teacher Miss Laura Minto said: “We are so proud of what the children have achieved. They have taken the event very seriously.

“They have learned a number of skills, including skills for job applications and presentations which can be transferred into real life situations.”

Primary 5 class teacher Mrs Emma Fraser added: “There has been a big increase in the children’s confidence since we started preparing for the event. A lot of P5 pupils were involved in making phone calls to parents and companies as part of the preparations.

“We have been fortunate to have parents come in and help us with making costumes for the show,” she added.
