This is Week 4 in the series of Lent Bible Studies arranged by Peterhead Churches Together and Peterhead Methodist Church is the host fellowship this evening, Tuesday, March 25, at 7pm when the study theme is “Ridicule”.

Next week, in the Foundation Christian Fellowship, Skelton Street, Buchanhaven, on Tuesday, April 1, at 7.30pm the subject is “Sacrifice”.

Peterhead Methodist Church Sisterhood will meet on Wednesday, March 26, at 7.15pm. The guest speaker is Amelia Tunley and all ladies are welcome.

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Merchant Street, is having an Easter Buttery Morning on Saturday, March 29, from 10am till 12 noon. There will be the usual sales tables and admission is £2.

On Sunday, March 30, in Peterhead Old Parish Church, morning worship at 11am will be led by the Rev. Fred Coutts.

St. Drostan’s Episcopal Church, Old Deer, has announced that Sunday, March 30, being Mothering Sunday, there is to be a Joint Service at 11am at St. Drostan’s with the Rev. David Thomson leading a Celebration of the Eucharist.

Cruden Parish Church has intimated that the Sacrament of Holy Communion will take place on Sunday, March 30, at 10am.

Cruden Parish Church Guild meets in the Hall on Monday, March 31, at 7.30pm. A talk will be given by the Rev. Fred Coutts entitled “A Fellowship to build”.

At Trinity Parish Church, St. Peter Street, Peterhead, there is to be a Guild Buttery Morning with sales tables on Saturday, March 29, from 10am till 12 noon. Admission is £2.

On Sunday, March 30, in Old Deer Church at 10.30am a service for Mothering Sunday will be led by the Rev. Sheila Kirk. Children’s Church meets as usual. Teas will be served afterwards.

Peterhead Fishermen’s Mission has its Nightcap Service on Sunday, March 30, at 8pm with community singing from 7.45pm.

The Mission Ladies’ Guild will meet on Tuesday, April 1, at 7.15pm. The special guest is Sylvia Tait, her subject being “Floristry by Sylvia”.

Peterhead St. Andrew’s Parish Church Guild brings their session to a close on Wednesday, April 2, at 7.30pm when a programme will be presented by the St. Andrew’s Male Voice Choir.

St. Andrew’s Church is having a Rag Bag collection on Monday, April 7, and thehall will be open from 10am to 4pm when donations of items will be welcome.

Peterhead Old Parish Church Senior Ladies’ Fellowship will end their present session on Monday, April 7, in the upstairs hall at 2pm.

There is to be a Spring Tea and a welcome will be extended to their guestentertainer, Mr. Bill Black.

A diary date is given meantime for later in April.

Peterhead Baptist Church is having a Bible Conference from April 25-27 inclusive under the title “Prayer and Priority” and based on four studies from the Book of Revelation. The sessions will be led by George Mitchell who grew up in Glasgow and is much respected as a teacher and lecturer, besides being the author of several books.
