Peterhead Methodist Church Sisterhood will meet on Wednesday, February 12, at 7.15pm when the guest speaker is to be Stewart Drysdale. All ladies are welcome.

The Blythswood Care collecting vehicle is due to be visiting this area on Thursday, February 13, for the purpose of receiving donations of items to help the charity in its relief work which is quite extensive. All gifts will be received most gratefully.

The vehicle is to be in Peterhead from 9.30am to 11.30am and then at Fraserburgh from 1pm to 3pm.

A meeting to plan Cruden Parish Church walks will take place on Wednesday, February 12, in the church hall at 7.30pm. All are welcome.

In Peterhead Old Parish Church on Sunday, February 16, morning worship will be conducted by the Rev. Fred Coutts commencing at 11am. The service will include the Sacrament of Baptism.

On Sunday, February 16, in Old Deer Church at 10.30am, morning worship will be led by the Rev. Sheila Kirk. Teas and fellowship will follow afterwards.

The Prayer Group meets in the Old Deer Session Room on Wednesday, February 19, from 6.30-7.15pm. All are welcome.

Peterhead Fishermen’s Mission has its Nightcap Service on Sunday, February16, at 8pm with community singing prior to that at 7.45pm. The guests are to be the Rev. James McMillan and the Congi Choir.

The Mission Ladies’ Guild will meet on Tuesday, February 18, at 7.15pm whenRobbie Dixon is to be the guest speaker.

Peterhead St. Andrew’s Parish Church Guild is to be meeting on Wednesday,February 19, at 7.30pm. Mr. Gordon Hay is to be the guest speaker and his subject is the Doric Bible.

There will be a Bring and Buy that evening also.

Peterhead Baptist Church Senior Citizens’ Fellowship will meet on Thursday,February 20, at 2pm in the back hall. The speaker is to be Mrs. Anne Bowlerwell.

This year’s World Day of Prayer is to be held on Friday, March 7.

The Peterhead Festival of Gospel Male Voice Praise will be on Saturday, March 22, in Peterhead Baptist Church, King Street, with the programmestarting at 6.45pm.

Rodger Neilson’s Farewell Social was a very successful and emotional evening, and his final service (after 40 years in Cruden Parish) including the Sacrament of Holy Communion was very well attended. The service on February 2, was conducted by the Rev. Bob Fowlie, who will be the Interim Moderator for the vacancy.

Morning Service will be as usual on Sunday, February 16, at 10am. The Craft Group meets on Tuesday, February 18, in the Hall at 2pm.
