Pupils at Peterhead’s Buchanhaven School will be battling it out for the Apache Cup after a generous donation.
Apache North Sea supported the students who have been busy recently designing ‘house shields’ for the school.
The initiative has been an exciting challenge for all pupils who have also now elected house captains and vice-captains.
Deputy headteacher, Elaine Stephen said: “We are very grateful for the continued support to our school from Apache North Sea.
“This initiative has been enthusiastically received by the pupils.
“The whole school took part in the design of the shields and the cups and shields will not only encourage our pupils to work hard and achieve their goals but also to deliver a high regard towards the school.”
Fiona Allardyce of Apache added: “This is a great initiative that benefits many young people in the local community as well as encouraging them to take an active interest in school activities.
“On a personal note I am delighted to have been invited to join the pupils and to be informed that the trophy has been hailed the Apache Cup!”
