owing to recent ill health, Church News correspondent Fred Duthie has been unable to take details of forthcoming services.

Meanwhile, Peterhead St Andrew’s Parish Church Guild is to be meeting on Wednesday, January 9 at 7.30pm and will welcome the Rev Isobel Akers, minister of the local Methodist Church as its guest speaker.

The Methodist Church Sisterhood will meet on Wednesday, January 9 at 7.15pm. The speaker on this occasion is Mr Bob Akers, husband of the minister, and all ladies are welcome.

Cruden Parish Church will take part in the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity from January 18-20, the theme this year being ‘What Does God Require Of Us?’ This is explored through meetings and prayers - details of which are available from the minister.
