Lifeboat aids casualty with chest pains

Peterhead Lifeboat was launched at 6.30am today after a man was reported with chest pains on board a sailing vessel in the town’s bay.

Two lifeboat crewmen were transferred to the vessel to treat the man. The vessel was then escorted in to Peterhead Harbour and the casualty was transferred to a waiting ambulance.

The lifeboat was stood down at 7.30am and returned to its berth following the incident.
