The League of Friends at Peterhead Hospital have very generously donated new blinds and two lights to the Casualty Department.

Their latest donation will help casualty staff to examine eyes properly as the blinds help to darken the room.

Money raised by the League of Friends helped to provide blinds and lights for two rooms.

Retiring ward manager Alison Leslie said: “I would like to thank everyone involved with the League of Friends for all of their help and donations over the years.

“They are so generous and we have managed to get so many new pieces of vital equipment thanks to them.”

Alison added: “We are very lucky to have the League of Friends, each member takes on the work voluntarily so it is awfully good of them to think of us.”

League of Friends member Eileen McLeman said: “We buy the equipment using money raised at the hospital shop and fundraisers that we organise.

“We go around the hospital asking each department to put in their requests for equipment and we always aim to help out and have never said no to any of the requests!”
