PARENTS and children who attend Mintlaw Kindergym got together in March to take part in a sponsored obstacle course to help raise money for their group.

The Kindergym which is held at Mintlaw Academy on a Saturday morning and at New Deer on a Thursday afternoon is for children aged from 18 months up to 5 years old and gives them a chance to make new friends and burn off some energy!

Various equipment is available from the children and they are free to run around, climb, hop, throw and balance as well finishing off the sessions with some singing.

Mums, Dads and Grandparents all go along to support the younger children and once they reach the age of 3 they are allowed to be left to play by themselves, meaning the adults can have time for a chat.

The Mintlaw Kinder-kids raised an amazing £887.05 at their sponsored obstacle course and the New Deer Kindergym are also hoping to hold one in the near future.
