Julie Watt and friends have expressed thanks to all who participated, supported and volunteered during the three-day Jubilee event in June.
A total of £1,532.29 was raised, to be divided equally between the three worthy charities - Alzheimer’s Scotland, The National Autistic Society and Mintlaw Group Practice.
Special thanks were extended to Melissa Pennie, Annie Weston Bird, Chelsea Urquhart, Chloe Googe, Cameron Rawson, Shannon Wood and Lucy Fraser and all who all kindly gave up their days off school to help.
Thanks were also expressed to all local businesses including, Costcutters, Nisa and Spar, who kindly donated raffles and supplies for the bike run and afternoon teas.
The teas were a great success thanks to the hard work put in by Kathleen Simpson and her helpers.
Fiona Stott very kindly held a Zumba class for the event with all proceeds being donated to the charities.
Fiona’s regular Zumba gold class is held in Mintlaw Village hall on a Tuesday afternoon 2pm.
Thanks were also given to Central Buchan community and learning development for their kind donation of prizes for the treasure hunt and support throughout and to the Garrett bar and Wishart Rosie for hosting the quiz night and to the regulars at the Garrett and Pitfour for their generous donations.Quizes were a success thanks to the efforts of Doreen Rawson.
Jubilee Queen, Evelyn Lowe was also thanked for judging the competition as were the folk of Mintlaw and the surrounding areas.
