Yes folks it’s that time of year - it’s Buchanie Bonny Baby time!
We are delighted to announce the launch of our 2012 competition to find out who you think is Buchan’s bonniest wee lad or lass.
Slightly later in the year than usual, the Bonny Baby competition follows the familiar format of three age category winners and an overall winner, who will be crowned Buchan’s bonniest baby of the year.
We have joined forces with an array of local retailers and businesses to offer top prizes to our winning tots.
Our very generous sponsors this year are Little Shoe Bootique, Scallywags, Aileens, Buchanhaven Pharmacy and a superb sitting and portrait courtesy of top Peterhead photographer Jim Ritchie.
The competition is open to all babies within the Buchan Observer circulation area - Peterhead, Boddam, Cruden Bay, Hatton, St. Fergus, Crimond, Longhaven, Longside, Mintlaw, Fetterangus, Stuartfield, Old Deer, New Deer, Strichen and New Pitsligo.
There will be three categories 0 to 6 months; 6 to 12 months and 12 to 18 months. The winner of each category will receive a fantastic prize, with the three individual winners vying for the title of Buchanie Bonny Baby 2012.
Once again we are asking parents to submit a photograph of their tot, to be published in the Buchanie over the next few weeks. There will be no official photography session.
Photographs must be clear and of good quality - and should be ideally emailed as an original jpeg to editor Ken Duncan at email@example.com
Alternatively, you can hand in your photograph to the reporting team at the Buchanie offices at 28-30 Seagate, Peterhead.
The strict deadline for ALL entries is Friday, November 2.
We have published a form to be completed and stuck to the back of any prints, but emailed images must also be accompanied by the information required.
Once all photographs have been published, readers will be able to vote for their favourite baby of 2012 over a wide range of platfiorms including the all-important newspaper poll.
So, get snapping and get your beautiful baby nominated for this year’s competition!
